This interactive workshop presented by Trista Wolles, Mental Health Professional, MHP, CG at LifeLine Connections, will introduce the basic concepts of youth drug and alcohol prevention, while answering questions on how one might approach the conversation of drugs and alcohol with their teens, even if the parent has had a history of use. This workshop will also provide community resources to help parents actively engage in the prevention of drugs and alcohol in today’s social climate.
Participants will:
Learn basic principles of prevention
Practice conversations on how to speak with youth about substance abuse, and learn why it matters
Learn how community can play a large part in prevention
